Pleasure Craft
There are sailing
diving and canoe clubs based around the excellent sheltered
waters of Stornoway Harbour.
Berthing
alongside for water, diesel or repairs is available
in the very sheltered inner harbour, but direction
must be taken from the Harbour Office.

Pontoon
berthing for visiting yachts is available in the northern
area of the inner harbour. Maximum length is 12 metres
and draft is 2.5 metres.
The pontoons are within a security area and accessed by a swipe card which can
be obtained in the Harbour Office or Watchroom.
Tourist information,
supermarkets and fishermen's chandlery are all only a
few yards from the quay. Shower facilities are available
also Internet access.
Regular
flights and ferry services make this an ideal crew
change-over port. Slipway facilities and experienced
marine engineers are available as are admiralty chart
stockists.
