Applications for vessels slipping should be made in the first instance to the Harbour Office in order to assess availability.  At this point you should have to hand basic information on the vessel to be slipped, and a brief outline of the works to be undertaken whilst on slipway.

Slipping and unslipping is generally only undertaken during normal daytime working 0800 – 1630 hours.  However, dependent on slipway availability, emergency slippings can be arranged outwith these hours by contacting the Duty Berthing Master.

There is electrical power and water available whilst on the Slipway.

Whilst vessels are on the Stornoway Port Authority Slipway, you must ensure compliance with Stornoway Port Authority Health and Safety Policy as well as local rules and Bye-laws.
