AT SHELL STREET
Stornoway Port Authority invites expression of interest,
preferably from harbour or marine orientated parties in
the tenancy of a storage area of ground extending to approximately
550 Square Metres at Shell Street Stornoway.
The fenced site is opposite the BP Oil Depot and next
to the premises occupied by Stornoway Shellfish Co. Ltd,
and is accessible from Shell Street Stornoway.
Applications should provide detailed information as to
the intended use of the site, and include an indication
as to the Monthly Rental offered in respect of the tenancy.
It should be noted that the Stornoway Port Authority may
at some future date wish to resume the use of this ground
for its own purposes at short notice. Therefore the tenancy
if approved will be from month to month until either party
gives to the other at least one clear months notice of
termination of the tenancy which shall then terminate
with effect from the last day of the said month.
The tenant will also be required to pay all local rates,
charges and similar assessments, and will be required
to meet all costs associated with the drafting and concluding
the Tenancy Missive.
Applicants are recommended to take independent legal advice
regarding the matter before proceeding.
Sealed expressions of interests and bids marked “Storage
Area South Beach” should be submitted to the Chief
Executive, Stornoway Port Authority, Amity House, Esplanade
Quay, by 8th May 2006.
The Authority is not bound to accept the highest or any
offer submitted.
