Press Release

8th FEBRUARY 2006

The two French Trawlers Jean Le Clerc and Jean Claude Coulon II arrived at Stornoway Harbour this morning to carry out crew changes.

Personnel were flown in by direct charter flight with the same aircraft taking the crewmen who  “paid off” in Stornoway back to France on the return flight..

Commenting, Chief Executive John J. Maclennan said “The Port Authority offers a special 25% discount to any vessel using Stornoway for crew changes providing the stay in port does not exceed 24 hours.  The close proximity of the Airport to the Harbour makes Stornoway the obvious choice for changing crew”.
